Book itself a nice copy. ~ Fictional account of a wartime attrocity inspired by events at Lidice in the Czech Republic. There in 1942 192 men aged 16 & over were shot be the Germans as a reprisal for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. The rest of the villagers, women & children were sent to Concentration Camps.
